Contract and hours: Temporary, Full Time (40hpw, 10PA's) A waiting list is being created for vacancies for 12 months.
Job purpose / Duties of the post
The Successful Applicant will share the day-to day care of in-patients, theatre lists, Out-Patient Clinic duties and Consultations in Accident & Emergency, as appropriate. When on-call ‘Out of Hours’ responsibilities will include servicing ED teams in Causeway, SWAH and OHPCC minor injuries unit as well as Altnagelvin responsibilities.
Successful applicant will be allocated to consultant teams and be provided with supervision for all clinical activity. On call is non-resident rota system.
So far as is consistent with the proper discharge of the above duties, the post-holder must undertake to deputise from time to time for absent colleagues.
The post-holder must undertake, exceptionally to perform additional duties in occasional emergencies and unforeseen circumstances.
The post-holder must undertake, exceptionally to be available for such irregular commitments outside normal rostered duties as are essential for continuity of patient care.
