About Us
Stewarts Care is a long-established voluntary organisation, funded by the HSE under Section 38. We support people with intellectual disabilities through residential care, day services, independent living, job advocacy, and vocational training.
Purpose of the Post
Reporting to the Head of Service Innovation and Development, the Assistive Technology Lead will lead and guide the development, implementation and evaluation of assistive technology (AT) supports for people with intellectual disabilities supported by Stewarts Care.
Experience and Qualifications
- A third-level qualification in Assistive Technology, multidisciplinary profession (e.g., speech and language therapy, special education, occupational therapy), or related field.
- Excellent knowledge of a broad range of AT solutions to support communication, learning, daily living, and community inclusion.
- Experience working with children and / or adults with intellectual disabilities or complex needs.
- Experience in carrying out assessments and developing innovative and person-centred AT plans.
- Experience delivering training and support to a range of stakeholders.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient with IT skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Salary
Remuneration is in accordance with the Department of Health consolidated pay scales.
Current Salary Scale: €60,013 - €78,015 incl. LSI (Grade VII - Clerical)
