Location: South West Acute Hospital, Enniskillen

Contract and hours: Temporary, Full Time (40hpw) A waiting list may be established for the next 12 months should another similar post arise

Closing date: 30 January 2026

Job purpose 

  • To support Consultants in the provision of care to patients in Western Health & Social Care Trust.
  • To liaise with medical colleagues, nurses and other staff providing the range of services within the Trust.

Main reposnsibilities

  • General care of the patients on Paediatric wards at Altnagelvin Hospital.
  • Assessment and management of patients attending Paediatric assessment unit, Day case unit, or accident and emergency.
  • Attending at Out-Patient Clinics.
  • Discharge Letters.
  • Deputise from time to time for absent colleagues.
  • Perform additional duties in occasional emergencies and unforeseen circumstances.
