Job summary
The Social Work Manager in Recovery Services will be responsible for the operational/professional management of professionals within the team and will work to ensure the effective discharge of statutory duties in respect of adults with a severe and enduring mental illness, and their families/carers.
He/she will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of recovery services to adults with severe and enduring mental illness and their carers, assuring effective assessment of individual needs and the implementation and co-ordination of person centred care/ support plans.
He/she will be responsible for providing joint leadership to a team of staff ensuring robust systems are in place for quality, safety, governance and performance management.
Main responsibilities

Ensure that all relevant legislative requirements and delegated statutory functions are met, and that necessary or required changes in service provision and professional practice are effected. Ensure the effective management and supervision of caseloads and support the team manager in the allocation of referrals.

To assure effective key working and care management in accordance with established standards and associated protocols.

To contribute to the implementation of You in Mind (YIM) mental health care pathway including YIM documentation.

To contribute to the carers agenda across adult mental health services and the implementation of any assessment tool i.e Carers Conversation Wheel which meets the needs of carers in a meaningful way.

To support staff to implement the principles of Personalisation through application of the Self Directed Support Model into practice.

Contribute to the professional development of social workers and others in Rossdowney including the Think Family agenda across the organisation.

The post holder will have oversight of the Mental Capacity (NI) Act 2016 and the framework surrounding Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards.
- The post holder will have oversight of and provide professional guidance with regard to all Adult Safeguarding referrals and investigations and will provide a robust governance system for capturing and collating information to make sure the timely allocation and closure of adult safeguarding investigations.
