Main responsibilities
- The post holder will develop and maintain specialist skills to provide the highest standard of individualised evidence based nursing care within the multidisciplinary team.
- To promote a friendly and supportive atmosphere for parents in which they can care for their babies.
- The role will include taking responsibility for a clinical area for a span of duty when required.
- The post holder should demonstrate effective communication within the multidisciplinary team in order to provide comprehensive and cohesive plan of care for the individual neonate.
- The post holder will be required to demonstrate their own continuing professional development and support the professional development of colleagues, by ensuring that practice is evidenced-based.
